By making a reservation and staying at our property, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of all guests and to maintain the integrity of our property.

1. RESERVATION & PAYMENT POLICY

1.1. Booking Confirmation

A reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a valid credit card guarantee or full prepayment, depending on the chosen rate.
Guests must provide accurate and complete personal details when making a reservation.

1.2. Payment Terms

Full payment for the stay is required before check-in unless otherwise agreed in advance.
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. Cash payments may be accepted at our discretion.
Any outstanding balances must be settled before departure.

1.3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Standard Rate: Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival. Cancellations within 48 hours of check-in will be charged 100% of the first night’s stay.
Non-Refundable Rate: Full prepayment is required, and cancellations or modifications are not permitted.
No-shows will be charged 100% of the total reservation cost.

2. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT POLICY

2.1. Check-In

Check-in time is from 15:00 onwards. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
A valid government-issued ID or passport is required upon check-in for all guests.

2.2. Check-Out

Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Guests must return all key cards upon departure.

2.3. Late Check-Out Policy

Late check-out between 11:00 AM and 14:00 PM may incur an additional 50% charge of the daily rate.
Check-outs after 14:00 PM may be charged 100% of the daily rate.

2.4 Long Stay Check-Out Policy

In case of moving out, guests are required to notify the local postal service (www.postnl.nl) and city hall of their new address within 3 working days of leaving the apartment/suite.
If guests fail to adhere to the long-stay check-out rules (e.g., not cleaning up or removing personal belongings), a cleaning fee of €250 will be charged.

3. HOUSE RULES & GUEST CONDUCT

To ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests, the following house rules apply:

3.1. Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartments/suites, on balconies, and in common areas.
Any violation of this policy will result in a fine of €250 and potential eviction without a refund.

3.2 Drug Use

The use of drugs in any form is strictly prohibited. Any guest found using drugs will be immediately evicted, with no refund, and a fine of at least €500 will be applied.

3.3 Prostitution, Human Trafficking & Illegal Trade

Engaging in prostitution, human trafficking or any form of illegal trade is strictly prohibited. Any guest involved in such activities will be immediately evicted, with no refund, and a fine of at least €500 will be applied. The police will be notified.

3.4 Gambling

Playing games of chance, poker, or betting with money or cryptocurrency is strictly prohibited. Any guest engaging in such activities will be immediately evicted, with no refund, and the police will be notified.

3.5. Visitor, Occupancy and Packages Policy

Only registered guests are permitted to stay in the apartment/suite.
Visitors are not allowed without prior approval from management. Unauthorized visitors may result in a fine of €500.
The maximum occupancy of each apartment/suite must be respected at all times.
Maurits Apartments & Suites does not accept packages on behalf of guests.

3.6. Noise & Disturbance Policy

Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 07:00. Please respect the comfort of other guests and neighbors.
Excessive noise, parties, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate eviction without refund.

3.7. Pets

Pets are not allowed on the premises. Violations will incur additional cleaning charges.

3.8. Cooking & Fire Safety

Guests are required to take notice of all fire safety systems, fire blankets, fire extinguishers, and escape routes within the apartment/suite.
Open flames, including candles and incense, are not permitted in the apartments/suites.
Barbecuing on balconies or in gardens is prohibited.
Guests must not tamper with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, or emergency equipment.
Guests are not permitted to use their own power strips or extension cords, as they pose a fire hazard. Violation of this rule will result in a fine of €500.
It is forbidden to tamper with or interfere with electrical installations in the building, including those in stairwells. A fine of €500 will be imposed for violations.
The use of personal heaters or heating elements is strictly prohibited. A fine of €500 will be applied if this rule is violated.
If a fire alarm is triggered due to guest negligence (e.g., cooking without proper ventilation), a fine of at least €250 will apply.

4. LIABILITY & DAMAGES

4.1. Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the apartment/suite, furniture, or property during their stay.
Guests must not place suitcases on tables or kitchen countertops
Bikes are not allowed inside the building. Any damage caused by bicycles to the property or common areas will be charged to the guest.
Any damage or missing items will be charged to the guest’s registered payment method.

4.2. Lost & Found

Maurits Apartments & Suites is not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten personal belongings.
Any found items will be kept for 30 days. Guests may arrange for collection or shipping at their own expense.

4.3. Liability Disclaimer

Maurits Apartments & Suites is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during the guest’s stay.
Maurits Apartments & Suites is not responsible for external factors such as power outages, weather conditions, or city infrastructure issues.

5. SECURITY & ACCESS

5.1. Keys & Access Cards

Guests must take care of their room key cards. Lost keys will incur a €75 replacement fee.
For security reasons, keys must not be given to third parties.

5.2. Building Security

Guests must lock all doors and windows when leaving the apartment/suite.
The management reserves the right to enter the apartment/suite for maintenance, inspections, or emergencies.

6. CLEANING & HOUSEKEEPING

6.1. Cleaning Policy

Apartments/suites are cleaned before check-in.
Additional cleaning services can be requested at an extra charge.
Guests are required to keep the apartment/suite tidy and dispose of trash before check-out.

6.2. Sanitation & Hygiene

Any excessive cleaning required due to guest negligence (e.g., smoking indoors, leaving excessive mess) will result in a €250 deep cleaning fee.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

Maurits Apartments & Suites is not responsible for cancellations or changes due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
In such cases, refunds or rescheduling may be offered at the company’s discretion.

8. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

8.1. Guest Privacy

Personal data collected during the booking process is used solely for reservation and legal purposes.
We comply with GDPR regulations to protect guest information.

8.2. CCTV Surveillance

For security purposes, the premises may be monitored by CCTV.

9. LEGAL COMPLIANCE

Guests must comply with all local laws and regulations during their stay.
Any illegal activity will result in immediate eviction and will be reported to the authorities.
